While Mother Nature will sometimes take care of watering in the form of rain showers, there will be times when supplemental watering is required to maintain the health of your landscaping.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proper\u00a0<span class=\"il\">watering<\/span>\u00a0is crucial\u00a0for all new plantings (trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, grass seed and sod) or any item recently transplanted. Watering is also important during particularly hot or dry conditions, even for your established landscape.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s important to water the roots of the plant, NOT the leaves, because water absorption occurs at the root. Water until the soil is moist but not soggy.<\/li>\n<li>Water in the early morning or early evening hours to maximize water absorption.
